Looking for a fun, engaging, and enriching daytime activity for your homeschool student? Expressions Academy of Dance's Homeschool Sampler Dance Classes are created specifically with homeschool families in mind.

Our sampler classes introduce students to a variety of dance styles while developing coordination, musicality, flexibility, creativity, confidence, and teamwork—all in a positive, encouraging environment where every child can thrive.

Classes are led by a qualified dance instructor who is also a homeschooling parent, bringing both professional dance expertise and a strong understanding of homeschool learners!  Lessons are thoughtfully designed to be engaging, age-appropriate, educational, and fun!

Whether your child is stepping into a dance studio for the very first time or already loves to dance, our Homeschool Sampler classes provide the perfect opportunity to stay active, make new friends, and discover the joy of dance.​

• 3rd - 5th Grade: Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.

Our Homeschool Sampler classes follow the same tuition structure as all Expressions Academy of Dance classes.

• 45-Minute Classes: $95/month

• 55-Minute Classes: $100/month

• 90-Minute Classes: $145/month

• Annual Family Registration Fee: $40

Do you accept homeschool charter school vouchers?

 

Yes! Expressions Academy of Dance proudly partners with many California homeschool charter schools and accepts educational vouchers whenever permitted by your charter.

Please note: funds may NOT be used for equipment, shoes, uniforms, membership fees, team fees, showcase fees, costumes, camps or clinics.  If you have any questions, please reach out to your charter school.

 

Can homeschool students take classes other than the Homeschool Sampler?

​

Absolutely! While our Homeschool Sampler classes are designed specifically for homeschool families, homeschool students are welcome to enroll in any Expressions Academy of Dance class that fits their age and schedule.

​

Many homeschool families choose a combination of our daytime Homeschool Sampler class along with afternoon, evening, or Saturday classes in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, acro, musical theater, and more.

Does my child need previous dance experience?

​

 

Not at all! Our Homeschool Sampler classes are beginner-friendly and welcome students of all experience levels. Whether your child is taking their very first dance class or has danced before, our instructors create a supportive environment where every student can learn, grow, and have fun.

​

Will students perform in the annual recital?

​

 

Our Winter and Annual Recital are optional! Homeschool Sampler students have the opportunity to participate in our exciting annual recital, giving them the chance to showcase everything they've learned while building confidence and creating unforgettable memories with family and friends.

​

Participation in the recital is encouraged but never required. A separate fee will apply that is typically not covered by homeschool vouchers. 

​

What should my child wear to class?

​

 

Students may wear comfortable clothing they can move in, such as leggings, athletic shorts, or dancewear with a fitted shirt or leotard. Hair should be pulled back away from the face.

​

Dance shoes are recommended based on the styles being taught. If you're unsure what your child needs, we're happy to help you choose the appropriate footwear before classes begin.
 

How much do classes cost?

Our Homeschool Sampler classes follow the same tuition rates as all Expressions Academy of Dance classes.

• 45-Minute Classes: $95/month

• 55-Minute Classes: $100/month

• 90-Minute Classes: $145/month

• Annual Family Registration Fee: $40

We also offer multi-class, sibling, Veteran, and Active Duty Military discounts.
